From Vision to Transformation
Equine Education Foundation (EEF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit co-founded in 2002 in Shamong, Burlington County, New Jersey. We provide therapeutic riding and equine-assisted activities for veterans and their families, individuals with developmental disabilities, and youth — serving our community for over 20 years.
EEF is a New Jersey–sanctioned therapeutic riding program. Veterans in our sponsorship program and their family members receive services at no charge, made possible by donor support. We also work with the New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities to serve eligible riders. Other riders pay directly; EEF does not bill insurance.

Maria Long
Co-Founder & Executive Director
Maria Long is the co-founder of EEF, bringing over 20 years of experience in therapeutic riding and equine-assisted activities. She has dedicated her career to providing high-quality equine-assisted services for veterans, youth, individuals with developmental disabilities, and others in the New Jersey community.
